A Bear Update

April 2026

I hope everyone had a wonderful and relaxing spring break. It’s always great to pause, recharge, and come back ready for a strong finish to the school year.

I would like to start this month’s update by congratulating the Band and Show Choir on receiving superior ratings at their competitions this past weekend.  All of our performing groups and their advisors work extremely hard to get these results.  Congratulations to everyone involved!!

Last week was National Volunteer Week and it’s an important time for us to reflect on the people who give so much to our schools. From our dedicated PTA and Booster groups to the many volunteers who step in wherever they are needed—your time, talent, and dedication make a lasting impact. You help create meaningful opportunities for our students and strengthen our entire district. We are incredibly grateful for all that you do.

Speaking of volunteers, we recently celebrated many outstanding individuals at our annual PTA Founder’s Night. This special evening recognizes those who go above and beyond for our students. Congratulations to this year’s Ohio PTA Achievement Award recipients, and thank you for the difference you make each and every day.

The first week of May also brings Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. This is a special time to recognize the incredible dedication of our educators and support staff. Their commitment to our students is truly what makes North Royalton such a special place.

We want to congratulate our fifth-grade students who recently completed the D.A.R.E. program. This is an important milestone, and we are proud of the way our students have engaged in learning how to make safe, responsible decisions. Thank you to Officer Gregory and everyone involved in making this program such a meaningful experience.

As we move into May, there is a lot happening across the district. State testing is underway, and our high school students are preparing for Advanced Placement exams. We know this can be a demanding time, and we appreciate the effort our students and staff are putting in each day.

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, let’s continue to support one another and stay focused on finishing strong.

Thank you, as always, for your partnership and support.

Have a great month!

Go Bears!
