December 2024
Hello Bear Families,
I would like to start by wishing everyone a very happy holiday season! I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing break with family and friends.
This time of year means “concert season” for our students and the music department. Our music department in every building does an outstanding job with our students throughout the year. I hope everyone takes advantage of the opportunity to see our students perform.
Winter sports are also underway at the high school and middle school. I encourage everyone to try and catch a game, match, or meet this season. We like to see the stands packed with purple and gold cheering on our athletes.
After the first of the year, we have a busy stretch ahead of us. We have been meeting to review transportation again this year and the committee will meet again in late January. We hope to have final recommendations to communicate to the community by late February/early March.
In addition, we are already working on staffing for the 2025-26 school year. If you or anyone you know is looking for a teaching or support staff position, start looking at North Royalton early in 2025. We like to be out in front of everyone else so we can continue to hire the best. And, of course, we are ALWAYS looking to hire anyone interested in driving a bus.
Finally, the strategic planning process will start this spring, so please keep an eye out for those communications. Our strategic plan will be a two or three-year plan that defines where we are headed as a District during that time. We are proud to say that we completed almost every to-do item on our current plan that covered the last three years. We look forward to developing this plan collaboratively with staff, community, students, parents, and Board members.
Have a great winter break!
