Hello Bear Families,
As we head into the final quarter of the school year, there is a lot happening across our district, and I’m excited to share a few highlights.
Our students continue to make us proud through their learning, creativity, and leadership. At North Royalton High School, we launched our first-ever Girls Flag Football team, joining one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. We’re excited to see these student-athletes represent North Royalton in this historic first season. We also want to wish our boys basketball team good luck as they compete in their second consecutive state final four this coming weekend.
Also at the high school, we are celebrating tremendous academic success. Seniors Albert Armin and Dominic De Salvo were named National Merit Finalists, and Albert has also been selected as a candidate in the prestigious U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. In addition, our Mock Trial team advanced to the state competition for the first time in school history
At the middle school, students celebrated Right to Read Week, encouraging everyone to unlock the power of stories and discover the magic of reading. We also want to congratulate the North Royalton Middle School Mario Kart Esports team, which recently captured back-to-back Ohio State Championships.
And finally, we are proud to congratulate Katie Bober as the new Assistant Principal at North Royalton Elementary School. Katie has served as Literacy Coach in our district, and we are excited to see her continue supporting our youngest Bears in this leadership role.
As always, thank you for your continued support. Have a great month!
Go Bears!
