Hello Bear Families,
As we wrap up the first quarter, I want to take the time to thank our transportation team for continuing to be creative through this driver shortage. We have added a few new drivers to our team, so our recruitment efforts are working. We plan to get a team together over the next few months to explore what next year might look like.
I would also like to thank the North Royalton Educational Foundation and Stadium Foundation for their continued support. The two groups combine to support our District in many different ways. Their joint fundraiser, The Taste of North Royalton, is once again sold out! It is incredible to see the team effort that goes into the planning of this event and we are thankful to both groups for their efforts to support our students and staff.
We are excited to announce that the Safety Town project is moving forward and construction has begun. We would like to thank the City of North Royalton, Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz and our Fire Chief Bob Chegan for their partnership on this project. We were able to combine our efforts to locate Safety Town at North Royalton Elementary School. This will provide a more permanent structure for our students and staff and be located where our Safety Town students will attend elementary school.
In previous communications, I have shared information about our Bear Strengths program. This Is a middle and high school program where staff and students participate in leadership activities focused on their identified strengths. CLICK HERE to watch a video our students have created that highlights this program. I encourage you to take a few minutes and see the impactful work being done through this program.
We have great things happening in our District and I continue to be proud and thankful to be a Bear!
Have a great month,
