Welcome Back NRES Families!
We are so excited for the start of a new school year! Our dedicated staff has been busy preparing classrooms, planning engaging lessons, and creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
We are the proud recipient of the Ohio Association of Elementary School Administrators’ Hall of Fame School award. Being recognized with this honor is truly a reflection of the wonderful culture we have worked to establish at NRES. We have come so far in the three years we have been at the new building. The entire school community - students, staff, and parents - have worked so hard toward achieving this goal and are so deserving of the honor. The Hall of Fame award makes you realize just how blessed we are to work in a building that is so special because of the people who are members of our team.
Our main goal for the upcoming year is to meet the needs of all learners, both socially and academically. Together we should work cooperatively and collaboratively to create a positive environment that will assist all students in becoming life-long learners, as well as help them to model citizenship, respect and responsibility.
At the beginning of the school year, there’s a lot of important information that can feel overwhelming. Fortunately, our district has put together a Back to School Online Family Reference Guide to help. We greatly value your partnership and believe that collaboration is key to our students' success. We encourage you to consider joining our PTA, volunteering in the classroom, or attending school events. Your participation truly makes a significant impact on our students' lives.
This year promises to be full of learning, growth, and memorable experiences. Together, we will celebrate achievements, overcome challenges, and create lasting memories. As we embark on this journey together, I am confident that it will be a rewarding and successful school year for everyone.

Sunday, Aug. 11 - Back to School Bash (NRES Playground and Parking Lot)
3:00-4:30 Incoming Preschool, Kindergarten, First Grade
5:00-6:30 Incoming Second, Third, Fourth Grade
Featuring music, chalk art, face painting, outdoor games, and the Cleveland Cookie Dough and Swensons Food Trucks!
Thursday, Aug. 15 - Kindergarten/New Student Orientation (NRES Cafeteria)
10:00-11:00 a.m. We would love to meet our incoming kindergarten families, as well as those who are new to the district. The presentation will be in our cafeteria/dining area, followed by the chance to see the kindergarten wing.
Wednesday, Aug. 21 - First Day of School for 1st through 4th Grades
Tuesday, Aug. 27 - First Day of School for Preschool
Wednesday, Aug. 28 - First Day of School for All Day & Half Day Kindergarten
