First Day of School

Wednesday, August 21st is the first day of school for students.  We are excited to welcome all the students to NRHS!  First period begins at 7:20 am.  Please give yourself ample time to arrive to be on time for your first class.

Update Student Registration and Enrollment Information

It is time for parents to update student registration and enrollment information.  Please follow these steps to make sure your child's records are up-to-date.  Access to student schedules, parking permits, field trips, and athletics all rely on this information being updated.  Please take action now.

SAVE Student Act

We wanted to take this opportunity to inform you about the requirements of the Safety and Violence Education Students (SAVE Students) Act, or Ohio House Bill 123, which mandates that students in grades 6-12 receive one class period of instruction annually for each of the following topics: social inclusion, violence prevention, and suicide prevention. The purpose of this instruction is to educate our students on these critical topics and empower them to recognize and respond appropriately to such situations.

Parking Permits

Students with a valid driver’s license for the 2024-2025 school year can log in to their Class of 2025, Class of 2026, or Class of 2027 Google Classrooms to access the application.

Permits will be processed as they are completed and students will receive an email when their permit is ready to be picked up in the main office at the high school.  Students must bring their driver’s license to pick up as permits will ONLY be given to the permit holder.

Proof of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance can be uploaded on the application, shown in person, or copies sent to the NRHS main office.

Student Registration MUST be completed/updated in PowerSchool for the 2024-2025 school year and all fees, as of the end of the 2023-2024 school year, must be paid for students to pick up their parking permits on August 15.

Students who were unable to attend the Chromebook Exchange on August 14 will be able to stop in the Media Center during study hall or lunch to exchange or pick up their new Chromebook.

NRHS  Adds School SAFEid to Safety Protocols

NRHS has added the School SAFEid visitor management system to our safety protocols.  All visitors, volunteers, vendors, and substitutes will be required to check in at one of our kiosks with a state identification card or driver's license.  This will allow us to continue to reduce risks and keep our NRHS family safe.

Community Career Connections

North Royalton City Schools is interested in making connections with our community members and sharing their career expertise with our students at all grade levels.  If you are interested in sharing your time and career expertise, please fill out the attached form and join our network of Community Career Connections.  Your information will be kept on file and, if we get a request that is a good fit with your career, we will contact you.  Thank you for making yourself available to our school district!
