First Day of School
Wednesday, August 20, 2025, is the first day of school for students. We are excited to welcome all the students to NRHS! First period begins at 7:20 am. The line of traffic for arrival may be long. Please give yourself ample time to arrive on time for your first class. Students may enter the building at 6:50 am.
First Day of School Arrival & Dismissal for Parents Driving Students
Parents/Guardians dropping off students for arrival should enter driveway #3 (at the traffic light) and drop off at door #1 (main entrance) beginning at 6:50 am. Click here for a map.
Parents/Guardians picking up students at dismissal may arrive after 2:35 pm and enter driveway #3 to pick students up at door #1.
We will have staff members directing traffic in our parking lots. We appreciate your cooperation and patience during arrival and dismissal to ensure the safety of our students.

Click here for the afternoon bus line-up at NRHS. Staff members will be available with this line-up at the end of the day to help students find their buses.
CVCC Buses
We will provide shuttle buses to and from CVCC for students needing transportation. Students riding the buses from the high school to CVCC will be picked up in the staff parking lot behind the high school and the buses will depart at 7:10 am each morning. The shuttle will run from CVCC to NRHS mid-day to bring the AM students back and take the PM students to CVCC. The shuttle will run at the end of the day to bring the PM students back to NRHS.
Please be advised that on the following days (when NRHS is not in session), the CVCC shuttle buses WILL transport students. However, students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the high school.

Student Drivers & Parking
Only students with a valid 2025-2026 parking permit may park in the school parking lots. NEW this year, our seniors were able to elect to paint their spots. The painted spots are reserved for that senior only. Students parking without a permit or parking in a painted spot will be ticketed, issued school discipline, and potentially be towed at their own expense.
Early Bird Strength, Speed, & Wellness Students
All students enrolled in Early Bird Strength, Speed, & Wellness are expected to be in class at 6:20 am each morning. Any changes to the arrival time will be communicated by the teachers.
Freshmen Chromebook Exchange and New Student Chromebook Pickup
Students who were unable to attend the Chromebook Exchange on August 13 will be able to stop in the Media Center during study hall or lunch to exchange or pick up their new Chromebook.
