HIGH SCHOOL HIGHLIGHTS

Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
It was a beautiful commencement ceremony on Friday, May 29th, at State Theater in downtown Cleveland.  It was a beautiful night, and the smiles never ended.  Congratulations to all of our graduates and their families.

Congratulations to Our Prom King & Queen
After some weather concerns, Mother Nature cooperated, and we had a beautiful night for our NRHS Prom.  Congratulations to all of the members of our court.  Steven Willman and Sienna Bokoch were crowned King and Queen!

Congratulations to the Medical Mutual Scholarship Fund Winner
Gianni Gangale has been selected to receive a scholarship from the 2026 Medical Mutual Scholarship Fund.  The Columbus Foundation administers the scholarship program and is a part of Medical Mutual’s commitment to customer schools and graduating high school students who wish to further their education.  More than 600 applications were received this year from Ohio.  Congratulations Gianni!

NRHS Student Participates in the Cleveland Marathon
Congratulations to NRHS junior Kaleb Evanish for running the Cleveland Marathon!  What an accomplishment!

Congratulations to our AP Students & Teachers
During the month of May, over 500 students took almost 1200 AP exams at NRHS.  We are proud of our students for pushing themselves academically.  Thank you to our staff who spent countless hours preparing our students for these exams.

2026 OHSAA Tennis State Tournament Doubles Team
Congratulations to junior Enrique Isaev and senior Jarrel Rayen on qualifying for the OHSAA State Tournament as a Doubles Team.  Our team made school history and was the state runner-up.  Thank you to our incredible coaches and families.  NRHS is incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and success this season!

Girls 4x200 Team Breaks School Record & Qualifies for States
Congratulations to Cali Wise, Vittoria Grotto, Rachel Ellis, and Lauren Politsky, who qualified for the OHSAA Division II State Track Meet in the 4x200 relay.  They also broke the school record!  Best of luck in Columbus!

Softball Player Records 100 Career Hits
Congratulations to Mya Goloja on recording 100 career hits.  This achievement is a testament to her hard work, consistency, and dedication to her sport.  NRHS is proud of you!

New School Record for Discus
Congratulations to Camryn Supelak for breaking the school record for discus with a throw of 120’ 7” at the Suburban League Conference Meet!

NRHS Senior has Success at The National Champions
Gymnast Max Lozinak finished 1st in the all-around, 2nd on pommel & rings, 4th on the high bar, and 6th on the floor and parallel bars at the National Championships.  What an incredible career!  We wish Max the best as he will continue his academic and athletic career at Greenville University.

NEWS TO KNOW

Last Day of School
The last regular school day for students is Monday, June 1.  Students will take final exams June 2-4.  There will be a staff in-service day on Friday, June 5.  We wish everyone a safe and restful summer!

Underclassmen Final Exams
Students will take final exams on June 2, 3, & 4, 2026.  On these days, the bell schedule and transportation schedule will be altered dramatically.  Students are expected to be in attendance during periods when they have class.  All classes have an exam or final project that requires students to be in attendance, except for students who earned an exemption through AP and EOC exams.  Semester and Final Exams Schedule: This link has all bell schedules for the 2025-2026 school year.  Please scroll down to find the Semester and Final Exam Schedule.

Transportation During Exams
Exam Day #1 (Tuesday, June 2, 2026)
Afternoon transportation will leave the high school at 1:00 pm to transport students home.  Any student who needs transportation after that time will have to provide their own.  AM CVCC students will not attend CVCC on Tuesday.
Exam Day #2 (Wednesday, June 3, 2026)
After the 11:00 a.m. exam end time, afternoon transportation will leave the high school to transport students home. Any student who needs transportation after that time will have to provide their own.
Exam Day #3 (Thursday, June 4, 2026)
After the 11:00 a.m. exam end time, afternoon transportation will leave the high school to transport students home. Any student who needs transportation after that time will have to provide their own.
For any College Credit Plus or CVCC students who have a conflict with the exam schedule, NRHS exams take priority.

Parking Lot Changes
Starting on Friday, May 22, 2026, students with Purple Lot parking permits will move to the Gold Lot for the remainder of the school year.  This will allow the Purple Lot to be open for senior parking for events and parent parking for middle school events.  Students with Silver Lot parking permits will remain in the Silver Lots.

Parking Permit Information for the 2026-2027 School Year
Students with a valid driver’s license for the 2026-2027 school year can log in to their Class of 2027, Class of 2028, and Class of 2029 Google Classrooms to access the application starting on May 18, 2026. Proof of a valid driver’s license and auto insurance can be uploaded on the application, shown in person, or copies sent to the NRHS main office. Student Registration MUST be completed/updated for the 2026-2027 school year, and all fees, as of the end of the 2025-2026 school year, must be paid in order for students to pick up their parking permits in August. Information on seniors' painted spots will come out soon.  Stay tuned…

AP Capstone
Starting with the class of 2028, NRHS will be an AP Capstone school. This program will be a great benefit to students who want to build strong research, critical thinking, and communication skills while gaining a competitive edge for college admissions.

School Fees in PowerSchool
The fees for 2025-2026 have been updated in PowerSchool.  Parents can check their PowerSchool accounts for fees and pay via credit card on https://payschoolscentral.com/ or send cash or checks (payable to NRHS) to the main office at the high school.

Course & Activity Fees
Fees have been posted in each student’s PowerSchool account through the 2024-2025 school year.  Fees for the 2025-2026 school year will be posted after the start of the year.  Parents can check their PowerSchool accounts for fees and pay via credit card on https://payschoolscentral.com/ or send cash or checks (payable to NRHS) to the main office at the high school.

NRHS  Adds School SAFEid to Safety Protocols
NRHS has added the School SAFEid visitor management system to our safety protocols.  All parents, visitors, volunteers, vendors, and substitutes will be required to check in at one of our kiosks with a state identification card or driver's license.  This will allow us to continue to reduce risks and keep our NRHS family safe.
